Xbox Sims 2 on Xbox 360

We just bought a new Xbox 360 Premium yesterday and are having great fun.
My daughter wanted the Sims 2 game, which seems to be only available in an
Xbox game. I thought 'no problem' as the game is backwards compatible.

Seems that it is not.

I downloaded and installed the update from www.xbox.com that is supposed to
let the 360 support Xbox games, but I still get a message that the game is
not compatible.

What gives?

Thanks,

Tom

Not "all" games which were developed for the original Xbox are compatible on
the Xbox 360, Tom. You should check the compatibility list here:

8-) Can't help what an incompetent sales person says. There's too many of
them.

If Circuit City won't let you return the game, you might want to hold
on to it. It's a very popular game and Microsoft is probably working
on an emulator for it and it may be on the next list of compatible
games.

I will hold on to it. I actually bought the game at WalMart, but the 360 at
CC. The CC sales person said, and I quote, "all Xbox games".

Sometimes I wonder where they get these sales people, often times they
know even less about the products they're selling than the customers,
they aren't exactly the sales people you see in the CC commericials for
sure.

In the future you might want to shop at GameStop or a similiar chain
that carries used xbox games. At GameStop they usually have a very
large selection of used original xbox games, and on the used games
there is a 1 week return policy, no questions asked.
